Support Tyler Culang’s Lo Ta’amod Project and 914 Cares
December 2024
Tyler Culang, a 7th grader celebrating his Bar Mitzvah this December is collecting gently used and new Fall and Winter Kids clothing for 914 Cares. Tyler is meeting 914 Cares’ needs by specifically requesting girls and boys (baby, toddler and kids) clothes from size newborn up to kids size 14/16. If you have clothes you would like to donate, please drop them off in the WRT lobby drawer marked “LO TA’AMOD COLLECTION”during the month of November. Clear out your closets and donate women, men, and teen clothing and shoes; accessories; and household goods. All donations can be put in the first donation drawer with the WRT Flea Logo in the WRT Lobby. At home pick up can be coordinated. 100% of the sales will go toward supporting Israel. AT HOME SANDWICH MAKING

Sign up to make sandwiches for HOPE Community Services and Snack Bags for the Mt. Vernon Recreation Department After School Programs. Pick up your supplies at WRT and drop off your completed bags at 6 Stonewall Lane, Mamaroneck. This is a great opportunity to do a mitzvah with your entire family in your own home!
Monday, January 27, 10 am – 12 pm, Westchester Reform Temple Kitchen
Sign up to join other members of the WRT community to cook a hot dinner, make sandwiches, and pack sandwich bags for HOPE Community Services. You can also sign up to bake desserts to be included in the sandwich bags, to shop for groceries, or to deliver the sandwiches to HOPE.

The Oscar Nominated short documentary about the improbable story of a Holocaust survivor, a 12-year old school girl from the Bronx, and a donated violin. The screening will be followed by a discussion moderated by Cantor Isaac Sonett-Assor with Director Kahane Cooperman and stars of the film Brianna Perez and Kokoe Tanaka-Suwan.
Men of Reform Judaism (MRJ) is collecting Humanitarian Supplies for Disaster Relief and Recovery for the victims of hurricanes Helene and Milton. For a full list of items being collected, see the flyer below. In addition, MRJ has an ongoing collection for larger medical supplies that are donated to Afya. Adult Lunch Bunch: We are seeking volunteers to create a Pleasantville Cottage School lunch bunch group. Lunch bunch involves a monthly visit to the same cottage with the same group of volunteers, who provide lunch, fun activities, and birthday celebrations. This is a full academic year commitment and requires an orientation process. Sign up here.
Family Mitzvah Corps: Sign up to be a part of the WRT Mitzvah Family Corps to help provide birthday cakes for residents of Pleasantville Cottages and to plan a Family Day of Service at Pleasantville Cottage School. Family Mitzvah Corps consists of families with children in grades K-5. Sign up here.
