Amy Rossberg

After more than two decades at WRT, Amy has developed deep connections with a broad spectrum of the congregant base. Her institutional knowledge, coupled with her extensive experience of Orthodox, Conservative, and Reform Jewish tradition, enable her to address the questions of our congregants with expertise. She is conversant with Jewish law, respectful of different traditions, and always familiar with the customs of this congregation.

As Director of Pastoral Care, Amy provides counseling and guidance to our congregants at every stage of life and through every life cycle. If you have named a baby, experienced a bereavement, undergone a conversion, sought assistance with a wedding or Ketubah, purchased a cemetery plot for yourself or a loved one, or just needed an empathetic ear, you have inevitably been a recipient of Amy’s dedicated and compassionate care. Amy is also the liaison to WRT’s Caring Community, attending to the sick and bereaved and creating meaningful and engaging programming for the temple’s seniors.

As Director of Congregant Relations, Amy manages the clergy administrative office team to ensure that congregants receive seamless, excellent service and experience individualized attention designed to deepen their connections with clergy, fellow congregants, and the WRT community.

Amy holds a Master’s Degree in Biblical and Ancient Near Eastern Studies from New York University. Amy has also served on the Westchester Chevra Kadisha, a volunteer organization that prepares fellow Jews for burial in accordance with Jewish law.
